Superstar Rajinikanth is busy shooting for 'Jailer' directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures. The filming is expected to wrap up by the end of the year and will release in Summer 2023. Meanwhile Rajini will also play a powerful special role in 'Lal Salaam' directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth.

It is said that Rajini will be portraying the role of the father of Vikranth in 'Lal Salaam' produced by Lyca Productions with A.R. Rahman providing music. Further Vishnu Vishal who is playing the parallel lead role will have a mother whose character is also an important one. According to reliable sources Aishwarya has approached famous 80s actress Jeevitha Rajasekhar for the role and she has given her nod.

Jeevitha made her debut in Tamil in T. Rajendhar's 'Uravai Kaatha Kili' in 1984 and within a short span acted with the top heroes of the time such as Sivakumar, Vijayakanth, Karthik, Suresh and Sathyaraj among others. She later fell in love with legendary Telugu actor Dr. Rajasekhar and got married to him in 1991.

Jeevitha's last Tamil film was 'Valaikaappu' released in 1988 and she is returning to Kollywood after 25 years and that too sharing screen space with the Superstar Rajinikanth for the first time. Stay tuned for the official confirmation.
