The Nadigar Sangam General Secretary Vishal confirmed that a Kollywood star cricket match will be conducted to raise funds to construct a new building at the Sangam premises. He also revealed that Superstar Rajinikantha and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan will participate in the event that has been planned on April 10, 2016.

Addressing reporters after attending the audio release function of Vignesh, Devika starrer 'Avan Aval', Vishal spoke about the activities of the new office bearers, to fulfill the poll promise of constructing a new building for the Sangam.

Vishal said "The Nadigar Sangam had Rs.48 lakhs of cash in hand and we raised Rs.2 crores through loans to retrieve the land. We have started the initial activities, construct new building on that land. To raise funds for the building we will be conducting a star cricket match in which the entire Kollywood film fraternityincluding Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan will be participating."

Vishal also said that the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister will be invited to lay the foundation stone for the new building to be constructed in the Nadigar Sangam land.
