In what is being hailed by the majority of Indians as the bold and decisive move to curb black money,, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi abolished on Tuesday late evening announced that Rs.500 and Rs.1,000 the two high denomination currencies are abolished from 12 AM IST, November 9, 2016.
Superstar Rajinikanth was one of the first Kollywood celebrities to hail the move. The 'Kabali' star hailed Modi by saying "Hatss off" and also gleefully said that a new India was born.
It is to be noted that the actor's 2007 blockbuster 'Sivaji' directed by Shankar which was a film against black money by filthy rich politicians and business man had suggested a similar move in its end credits. The social media is hailing Shankar and the film's dialogue writer Sujatha for their genius in foreseeing the benefits of this decision.
Rajinikanth's good friend and arch rival Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan has also joined him in congratulating PM Modi in Twitter. His Tweet says that the move should be celebrated all setting aside political differences, most importantly by earnest Tax payers. It is to be noted that that Kamal Haasan has always insisted prompt payment of Tax and he has been an inspiration for that. .
Many other Kollywood and other film industry celebrities are hailing this bold move by the Indian PM which is being defined as a "Surgical Strike on Black Money".
