The Karnataka Film Chamber had announced that it will not allow the release of Superstar Rajinikanth's upcoming film 'Kaala' which would incur huge losses for producer Dhanush. Now the Chamber head Sa Ra Govind has stated that except for Rajini and Kamal films there is no problem for the release of any other Tamil film.  This could well mean that 'Vishwaroopam 2' will also not be allowed to screen in the neighboring state.

Political analysts are of the opinion that both Rajini and Kamal are active as politicians now and both have taken the stand that the Cauvery Management Board should be set up immediately by the Central government.  The stand of the doyens of Tamil cinema has irked the Karnataka politicians and that is why they have decided to ban their films.  It remain to be seen if Rajini and Kamal would approach the Competition Commission of India or some other legal body to fight this injustice.
