Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kaala' shooting began in Mumbai on May 28th. Earlier this week the Superstar returned to Chennai after completing his portions in the first schedule.Thalaivar's intro song. A fight sequence and some important scenes have been shot in this schedule.

Now we learn that a scene with a grand Vinayakar Chathurthi celebration as a backdrop has also been shot in the first schedule in Mumbai. This is said to be a crucial scene in the film.

Vinayakar Chathurthi or Ganesh Chathurthi is a grand week long celebration in Mumbai and the other places of Maharashtra state. Rajinikanth's 1995 blockbuster 'Baasha' whose don portions were shot in Mumbai also included a scene in which Vinayakar Chathurthi was the backdrop.

'Kaala' is being directed by Pa.Ranjith and produced by Dhanush with a stellar star cast the includes Huma Quereshi, Nana Patekar, Samuthirakani Suganya and many others.
