Superstar Rajinikanth's cinematic journey continues to captivate audiences, with two major projects on the horizon: "Coolie" and "Jailer 2."

"Coolie"

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures, "Coolie" is an upcoming Tamil-language action thriller featuring Rajinikanth in the titular role. The film boasts an ensemble cast, including Nagarjuna Akkineni, Upendra, Sathyaraj, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan, and Reba Monica John. Principal photography commenced in July 2024, with shooting locations spanning Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, and Jaipur. The production is scheduled to wrap up by February 2025, aiming for a worldwide release on May 1, 2025.

"Jailer 2"

Following the massive success of "Jailer" in 2023, which grossed over ₹600 crore globally, director Nelson Dilipkumar is set to helm the sequel, tentatively titled "Hukum." Pre-production activities are underway, with shooting scheduled to commence on March 20, 2025. The film's production will take place in locations across Kerala and Coimbatore. Reports suggest that the first look teaser is planned for release on Rajinikanth’s 74th birthday, December 12, 2024, building anticipation among fans.
