Following the ban of 'Kaala' in Karnataka by the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, the Karnataka State Rajinikanth Fans Association has been trying hard to secure its release. It wants politics and art to not be mixed.
However, the Association's attempts to ensure that 'Kaala' will release on June 7 in the Kannada state haven't gone down well with some pro-Kannada outfits. As per a report, Rajini's fans have been receiving death threats because of their stance.
Following the death threats, the members of the aforementioned fans association have gone to the Bengaluru police commissioner to complain.
HD Kumaraswamy, the state's new Chief Minister, has in the meantime suggested that his government won't revoke the ban on the much-awaited film as the people of his state are not interested in watching it (because of Rajinikanth's stance on the Cauvery issue).
