Earlier this morning, Superstar Rajinikanth's younger daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth was driving a car which dashed an auto-rickshaw standing on the roadside in Chennai and caused an accident.

Soundarya's brother-in-law and actor Dhanush was immediately alerted about the mishap and he came to the spot within a few minutes. Dhanush is learnt to have negotiated with the aggrieved auto-driver and made him give up the thought of registering a police complaint.

The auto-driver was allegedly injured in the melee, and apparently he has been assured of the needed compensation so that he can meet the expenses for his medical treatment as well as repairs, if any, for the vehicle.

Soundarya is the director of one of Dhanush's upcoming film 'Velai Illa Pattadhari 2', touted to be a sequel to 'Raghuvaran B.Tech'.
