Ever since the release of Karthik Subbaraj's Petta, Rajini's fans have been eagerly waiting for the superstar's upcoming project Darbar, directed by A.R. Murugadoss.

Darbar's music composer, Anirudh, during a recent event in Chennai satisfied the expectations of the eager fans by announcing that the songs of the album will be launched by the end of November this year. The shooting of Darbar has been going on in full swing and is expected to be wrapped up by the end of August. Shot in a Mumbai backdrop, Rajinikanth will be essaying the role of a cop in the movie, while Prateik Babbar, Suniel Shetty, Nivetha Thomas, and Yogi Babu will be playing significant roles.

Anirudh is composing music for Rajinikanth for the second consecutive time following Petta. Produced by Lyca Productions, Darbar is expected to hit the screens during Pongal 2020.
