SUPERSTAR RAJINIKANTH, two words that have been spelt out with zest for the past forty years and now the iconic legend himself has decided to change it all. Rajini has changed his twitter handle from @superstarrajini to @rajinikanth. This is a clear statement about how serious the Thalaivar is about his politics that he has discarded his magnetic prefix for his next step in life.
Back in 1978, when the film 'Bhairavi' released the then distributor of the film, Kalaipuli S Thanu added the Superstar tag in the posters which has stuck and has been owned by Rajinikanth for the past forty years. The masses have so far refused to attach the tag to any other actor in Tamil cinema and one can safely say that it extended to Indian cinema as well.
