Superstar Rajikanth has filed a petition in Madras High Court in which he has alleged that Mukul Chand Bothra is trying to defame him and mint money from him.

Bothra had filed a petition in the High Court a couple of weeks back, which dragged. Here is the gist of what Bothra has said in the petition. "Director Producer Kasthuri Raja had received a huge amount of loan from me in 2012 using Rajikanth`s name as the latter was his relative. The cheque given by Kasthuri Raja to repay the loan had bounced. I filed a cheque bounce case against Kasthuri Raja in the George Town Court. When I contacted Rajini, I was informed that no one was authorised to use Rajini`s name. Then I gave a complaint to the police citing that Kasthuri Raja has cheated me by using Rajini`s name. But the police refused to take any action on the complaint citing that it was a civil case and they can take action only on criminal cases. Till now Rajinikanth has not taken any action on Kasthuri Raja for misusing his name. Now I doubt that Rajini is also party to the Kasthuri Raja`s attempts to cheat me. So the court should order Rajinikanth to take action on Kasthuri Raja."

Against this petition Rajikanth`s lawyer has filed its petition today. In that petition it was mentioned as follows. "The court should dismiss the petition filed by Mukul Chand Bothra. It was intended to defame my good name and mint money from me. I am no way connected with him and I have never given guarantee for loan taken by anyone. The case has been filed to order me to take action against Kasthuri Raja. A case with such a prayer cannot be considered at all. A cheque bounce case filed by him against Kasthuri Raja has been dismissed by the Geroge Town court. That`s why Bothra has filed this case against me to bring defame and stress to me. This case should be dismissed".

Bothra has immediately filed a reply petition to Rajini`s petition. In that he has again mentioned that Kasthuri Raja cited Rajini`s name as guarantor for the loan received by him.

The judge has adjourned the hearing on this case for four weeks.
