Rajinikanth has slammed the Tamil Nadu government for being a silent spectator when the people of Thoothukudi have been protesting against the sterlite factories. In his message he has stated that " The people are affected by various diseases due to the sterlite factories and are suffering more by protesting for 47 days. It is perplexing that the government that gave permission for setting up the factories remains a silent spectator without taking any action at all."
Earlier Rajini had also taken on the Central government saying that the only acceptable solution to the Cauvery issue is the setting up of the Cauvery Management Board in accordance to the Supreme Court order.
