Rajinikanth, Ajith, Vijay and others pay homage to Manorama

As the legendary actress Manorama has passed away the entire Kollywood film fraternity has plunged in the ocean of sorrow. No one in the film industry could be unable to relate something with the senior actress who has acted in as many as 1300 films.
Many Kollwood celebrities and political leaders have been paying the last homage to Manorama`s mortal remains kept at her residence in Chennai. Superstar Rajinikanth was one of the earliest to come and pay his homage. DMK leader M.Karunanidhi made a personal visit. The Nonagenarian politician who was also a prominent dialogue writer in Tamil cinema has penned dialogues for Manorama in several films.
Actor Ajith who has acted with Manorama in a few films came in person along with wife Shalini and paid last respects to the mortal remains of Aachi. His visit gains importance as he courted criticisms for not condoling the death of veteran director K.Balachander and music composer M.S.Viswanathan who died in recent months.
A host of Kollywood celebrities throng the venue to pay their last homage to Manorama and notable among them were Vijay, Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Vishal, Sivakumar, Karthi, Khusbhu, Sundar.C., Parthiepan.Ilaiyaraja, Sukanya, S.Ve.Sekar, Sendhil and many others.
The last rites of Manorama has been scheduled to happen within a few hours from now. All Tamil film shootings have been cancelled today.
The meeting to introduce the candidates contesting in the Nadigar Sangam Elections, on behalf of the team of incumbent President R.Sarathkumar`s team which was scheduled to happen this evening in a wedding hall in Chennai has also been cancelled on account of Manorama`s death.
