For more than a month before the release of Kabali, Superstar Rajinikanth was unseen in India. After much speculation, people came to know that he was getting treated for an illness in the USA. A few days before Kabali's release, he, along with daughter Aishwarya, appeared in an ashram. Finally, that made his legions of fans most happy.
With Kabali shaking BO records like no other (it has grossed more than Rs. 180 cr worldwide), Rajini thought it apt to address his fans particular and the audience in general. In a note released yesterday by his spokesperson, he said, "As I h ave been working non-stop for Kabali, and 2.0, I required mental and physical rest. Hence, my two-month trip to the US with my daughter, Aishwaryaa Dhanush, during which time I have undergone a few medical tests, and taken a lot of rest. But now, I have returned revitalised and motivated.”
Rajini further thanked his producer Kalaipuli S Thanu and director Pa.Ranjith for the blockbuster. “I heard of the film`s success while in America, but to see it and experience it in person gives me great happiness," an emotional Superstar wrote.
