Rajinikanth's next, coming in the direction of Karthik Subbaraj, is titled 'Petta'. Produced by Sun Pictures, the big-ticket entertainer will be shot in Varanasi, one of the holiest Hindu places, starting from Monday.
As per a report, the film will be shot for about four weeks in and around Varanasi. Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha Krishnan and Simran will also take part in this crucial outing. 'Manto' and 'Mom' actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has a key role in this one. Megha Akash is also part of the cast.
Shot previously in Lucknow, 'Petta' is one of the most awaited movies in 2019.
Anirudh Ravichander and S Thiru are doing music and cinematography, respectively. Editing is by Vivek Harshan. Production Designer is Suresh Selvarajan. Action direction is by Peter Hein. Kunal Rajan is the sound designer. Niharika Khan and Praveen Raja are the costume designers. Sheriff and Baba Bhaskar are taking care of choreography. VFX is being done by PRIME FOCUS.
