The value Superstar Rajinikanth gives to friendship is an open secret in these parts. The numero uno actor was at it again, when he visited the recording of 'Marandhen Mannithen'.

The film is being produced by Rajini's good friend and veteran Telugu actor Mohanbabu's daughter Lakshmi Manchu. Aadhi, Tapsee and Manchu Manoj are playing lead roles in it.

When the Superstar came to know that the recording (by maestro Ilayaraja) was taking place in Chennai and Mohanbabu was also present, he drove straight to the studio without informing any one about his visit.

"Mohanbabu and Lakshmi were clearly surprised. After keenly enquiring about the film, Rajini was seen discussing with Ilayaraja, who too is his good friend and longtime colleague," sources said.
