It was reported that the launch pooja of Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Thalaivaar 170' was recently held in Chennai. The film produced by Lyca Productions is directed by T.J Gnanavel of 'Jai Bhim' fame. It is said that legendary Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, sensational Malayalam stars Fahaadh Faasil and Manju Warrier and Tollywood actor Sharwanand are part of the ensemble cast.

According to the current information, Rana Daggubatti who acted in 'Baahubali' and Dushara Vijayan, the heroine of Pa. Ranjith's 'Sarpatta Parambarai' are the recent addition to the cast of 'Thalaivar 170'.

The first phase of shooting of 'Thalaivaar 170' will take place for 10 days from September 19th in Chennai. The police encounter based film has music by Anirudh and carries great expectations especially after the grand success of 'Jailer'.
