The VVS team of Siva Karthikeyan, Imman, Ponram and Soori is back this time for RajiniMurugan, the songs are out already in the stands. One of them “Yennama “ has already been going rounds in the social media for its catchy making and music, so lets find out how the rest of them have fared out.

Un Melaoru Kannu :

Hear it once, twice and third time it sure will hook your interest, everything about the song is dreamy with lion’s share of credit to the lead singers MahalakshmiIyer and Jithin. Sung on the lines of 90’s duet, its about lovers expressing their feelings captured by Imman in a solemn and sweet way. The light hearted bass behind the vocals is simple, straight forward and captures your attention easily.

Jiguru Jiguru:

Everything about this song is full of folkish blend, the vocals, the composition and the energy is very much in place. The tunes are very much reminiscent of Imman’s various albums put together, still tries to innovate with the lead singer’s strengths. Super singer Diwakar’s voice doubles with Kalpana’s folky chords get together to recreate the festive atmosphere. The Mandolin inclusion is an experiment well done, but the song is more for colorful visuals than the audio.

RajiniMurugan :

Probably Siva Karthikeyan’s entry song comes up with a flare of hero worship with the hero do the backing of a singer as well. His occasional lethargic vocals are rather monotonous, but the chorus is what gets our attention. The signature and recursive Gun.. Gun.. Murugan is one for the visuals,Imman has added enough flavors to make the song a recursive hear. The end note of “Good bad and ugly” is something that you might not have accepted, yet again a visual treat perhaps?

EnnamaIppadipanringale ma:

The song captilizes on two things; one from the popular TV show phrase that went viral and secondly looks like the tune has been ripped off from the previous flick VVS – Oodha color ribbon. The enjoyable track has been crooned by the composer himself; thanks to some catchy lyrics the intent of some rippled fun is delivered. Imman has chosen strings for his composition, a different attempt as it traverses through the interludes, but everything put aside you would love the song for one line “EnnamaIppadiPanringalae ma”.

Aaavi Parakkum Teakadai :

The song looks to be rather an important track from its perspective it delivers, for the lyrics speak of a man who is set to open up a tea stall and also the girl who he has fallen in love with. The song is an abode of people’s favorite advertisements, the sheer composition is sure to get you hooked.

Karaoke & Remix versions :

Apart from the original songs, the album also has Karoke versions too. Retaining the original flavor of the songs, the Karoke is also good enough for casual hearing. The YennamaIppadiPanringalae ma remix is just about, the original is far more catchy than the remix.

Verdict :Imman brings back the magic from VVS days, would be interesting to see the songs with the visuals if retains the treat.
