A majority of Tamil cinema and even pan Indian fans would love to watch the living legends Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan in the same movie together. In the past four decades there have been several attempts to make a movie with them that never took off due to financial constraints and other reasons.

Now the much celebrated Malayalam filmmaker Alphonse Putheran of 'Neram' and 'Premam' fame has posted an open statement that he has scripts individually for Rajini and Kamal and also for them both to star together. He wrote “If I meet Rajini sir or Kamal sir in person, there are possibilities that both of them might be interested in the scripts I have for them. I believe that luck doesn’t have my name in its dictionary. So, I have never met them till now in my life. In future if luck favours and I meet them, and if they like my scripts, I will use all my Multiple Skills and do Good Entertaining Films with each of them and then with both of them”.

Fans are sharing the post to circles close to both Kamal and Rajini to give Alphonse Putheran an opporutinity to narrate scripts. Those in the know are opining that this would surely be a new combo and give something fresh for the audiences as well. Lets see how this goes to the next level.

Alphonse Putheran is currently directing 'Paatu' starring Fahaadh Faasil and Nayanthara for which he is also scoring the music. The film is also expected to have a Tamil version too.

Rajinikanth is gearing up to shoot his next movie 'Thalaivar 169' directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures. Kamal's 'Vikram' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and costarring Vijay Sethupathi and Fahaadh Faasil is releasing worldwide on June 3rd.
