Kamal Haasan confirms Rajinikanth-Lokesh Kanagaraj project in 'Vikram' success meet?

As 'Vikram' completes its first week run at the box office with unpredented response from audiences all over the globe the success meet for the press was held in Chennai. Kamal the hero and Lokesh Kanagaraj the creator thanked the media for its contribution in the wide reach of the film.

There has been a talk for several months that Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan will reunite for a film after several years and it almost happend with 'Thalaivar 169'. Lokesh Kanagaraj was supposed to direct and Kamal was to have served as producer. The project could not take off due to the coronavirus pandemic.

A reporter asked whether there is a possibility of the project reviving and Kamal stated that Rajini and Lokesh have to decide now. He said that once they do and it comes to him he will announce it officially. He also added that he is always ready to do a film with his long time friend Rajinikanth.

This could be taken as a token confirmation as a few days earlier Kamal and Lokesh met Rajini along with producer Mahendran and the pics went viral. Though it was said that they met the legend as a courtesy before 'Vikram' release, industry sources say that the Rajini-Kamal-Lokesh combo project was also discussed.
