March 1 (Sunday) was the birthday of DMK treasurer and former Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin and many from the film industry greeted him.

"Superstar Rajinikanth telephoned Stalin early in the morning and wished him a very happy birthday. Stalin thanked Rajini," sources said.

The DMK leader's son and actor-producer Udhayanidhi Stalin and others from the industry also conveyed their wishes to him.
