Everyone in these parts know Superstar Rajinikanth is an ardent devotee of Sri Raghavendra. Even the 100th film of the actor was a bio-pic on the great saint, and Rajini had played the lead role in it.

Now, the numero uno actor has donated Rs 10 crore for the shrine of Sri Raghavendra in Mantralayam. The amount will be used to upgrade the infrastructure of the temple.

In a press statement, authorities of the temple said that the old buildings on the rear side of the Sarvagnya Mandir would be dismantled and 25 fresh A/C cottages and 100 general rooms would be constructed.

There are plans to set up a garden with the remaining funds, they said.
