Superstar Rajinikanth's upcoming sci-fi-thriller Robo 2.0 was launched in a grand ceremony earlier this month in Chennai. The shooting of the film is going to kick start from January. Reportedly, Rajini has allotted bulk call sheets for this Shankar directorial as it requires the actor to work for two different roles as a robot and scientist. However, the final schedule of Rajinikanth's another movie Kabali is yet to be completed. Since Rajini gave away his dates to Robo 2.0, speculations were doing rounds that the release of Kabali might get delayed.

Shunning these rumours, Rajini has requested the makers of Robo 2.0 a month`s time to wrap up Kabali. The shooting of Kabali would resume from January first week and go on till the month end. The film will hit the screens on April 14, coinciding with Tamil Nadu New Year. Directed by PA Ranjith, the film has Radhika Apte as the female lead.
