The rumour mills are churning out the news that superstar Rajinikanth and ace director Shankar are teaming up again. The project, according to the grapevine, will be none other than Shankar’s dream project ‘Robot’. The announcement, according to the sources, will be made in the silver jubilee function of ‘Sivaji’.

Post ‘Sivaji’, there has been many rumours cooked up about Rajini’s next. Earlier there was a strong rumour that Mani Rathnam would direct a film featuring Rajini as hero, which would be produced by Kamal Haasan.

Then we heard the rumour about Rajini’s mentor K. Balachandar along with Panju Arunachalam, who had produced many of Rajini’s earlier films, would jointly produce a film featuring Rajini. It was also said that Murugadoss would direct it.

There has also been news about Raghava Larencce directing Rajini’s next.

The latest in the list is Rajini – Shankar combination for ‘Robot’. It is also said that Shankar would rope in Amitabh Bachchan to add value to the project world wide.

Though it is yet to be confirmed, it is a well known fact that the mega budget movie does need real big stars like Rajini and Big B. The rumour has already triggered a lot of sensation and speculations in the industry.
