Director K.S.Ravikumar well known in the film industry for completing a film in record speed is currently busy with Superstar Rajinikanth`s Lingaa`. The director`s reunion with the Superstar after 15 years has kindled a lot of expectations.

Now the latest about the shooting schedule of this Rockline Venkatesh production venture is that the director is shooting the sequences pertaining to the present generation since the most of the portions set in the pre independence era as per the story have been canned. The shooting is currently progressing in Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad, where scenes involving the Rajinikanth and Santhanam are being canned at present. It is to be noted that Karuna, another rising comedy cum supporting actor of the current lot has also been roped into a play role in the current generation sequences of the film.

As we all know, Lingaa` has story by director PonKumaran who has penned it with two different period backgrounds: the contemporary and the pre independence eras. The Superstar will be appearing in both the periods making it a double role for him. Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka are playing the love interest of pre independence and current generation roles of Rajini, respectively.
