Actors Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, proteges of the acclaimed director K Balachander last appeared together in Thilu Mullu directed by KB (Kamal played a guest role in that film).

After almost two decades, the two stars who have grown to become a omnipotent force in Tamil film industry, are tipped to come together again for a movie to be directed by KB himself.

Balachander is currently wielding the megaphone for a movie titled Poii and reports say that the mentor has urged his sishyas to be part of the film.

Produced by Prakashraj, Poii stars Uday Kiran and debutant Vimala Raman in the lead role.

It may be recalled the duo was supposed to act together in KB's last venture Parthale Paravasam (Balachander's 100th film). But it could not materialize. However the director is keen on getting them together again.

However neither the director nor the actors have confirmed the news.

Let's hope Balachander pulls it off this time.
