The two darlings of the masses Rajini and Kamal have acted in innumerable roles in their most distinguished careers spanning many decades. In their thirties, both of them have played sixty year olds in Nallavanukku Nallavan` and Oru Kaithiyin Diary`. Both Rajini and Kamal, who are in their sixties now, often play youthful roles in films like Lingaa`, Sivaji`, Enthiran`, Dasavatharam`, Manmadhan Anbu` etc.

Now Kamal Haasan is playing a role close to his age in Thoongavanam` as his getup suggests and Rajini is also doing the same in his forthcoming Kaali` directed by Ranjith In which he appears in his original look. Looks like the two stalwarts of Indian cinema have at last become comfortable with playing roles that are closer to their original age.
