Rajendra Prasad, one of the most-valued comedy actors Indian cinema has ever seen, has expressed disappointment at the crass comedy that has come to visit people via both the silver screen and small screen.
The 'Jabardasth'-isation of comedy seems to have caused dismay in the veteran actor, who is continuing to play comedy roles even after all these decades.
Taking the example of 'Pelli Pusthakam', the beloved actor points at the healthy humour in films of the bygone era. The actor's iconic hits like 'Aa Okkati Adakku' also come to mind.
His comments come in the wake of the outrage against Hyper Aadhi's recent comedy skit on 'Jabardasth', where his character made a derogatory remark against orphans.
