Senior actor Rajendra Prasad recently shared his perspective on the evolving definition of a hero. During the pre-release event of the film Harikatha, he made some comments which landed him in controversy. Rajendra Prasad's remarks indirectly referenced Allu Arjun's portrayal of Pushparaj, a red sandalwood smuggler, in the blockbuster Pushpa.
Rajendra Prasad's statement, "A thief who steals sandalwood logs is a hero," has since gone viral on social media, sparking discussions about character representation in films.

Rajendra Prasad elaborated on how heroism in cinema has evolved from traditional ideals to more complex narratives. He reflected on his career, recalling roles in films like Ladies Tailor, Appula Apparao, and April 1 Vidudala, where he portrayed flawed yet relatable characters rooted in everyday life. Rajendra Prasad acted with Allu Arjun in a couple of movies earlier but his comments are unnecessary at the moment.
Regarding Harikatha, he shared his excitement about playing a meaningful role inspired by legendary actors Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR) and Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR). His character, Rangachari, is a storyteller devoted to spreading spiritual messages.
