In an appalling incident reported from Rajasthan's Jaisalmer, a man was brutally thrashed and made to drink urine by a group of people after he allegedly had an 'illicit affair.'

The video of the incident has gone viral on social media, with several users condemning the cruel act and demanding justice for the individual. The incident happened in the Barmer district, where the man, who was suspected of having an affair was humiliated by being tied to a tree and beaten up. His hair was shaven by the locals and he was forced to drink urine as well. The incident came to light when the video of the same went viral across social media. The police started investigating the incident and determined that both the parties had come to an agreement in the matter and decided not to approach the police. Barmer SP Anand Sharma reportedly said that Chauhatan SHO Pema Ram on July 28 during patrolling saw the viral video.

Despite the victim's refusal to lodge a complaint, the police have registered a case against the accused, who are supposedly from the Bhil community, under Sections 249, 323 and 342 of the Indian Penal Code. A former investigation of the matter will begin soon and arrests will reportedly be made based on the video.
