Days ahead of the theatrical release of 'Roudram Ranam Rudhiram', SS Rajamouli has revealed that he had planned to make a love story headlined by the Jr NTR-Ram Charan duo and a heroine back in 2017. It's not known what exactly was in his mind, but Rajamouli dropped the idea because of what his wife, Rama Rajamouli, commented when he shot off the idea.

"When I shared the same (the idea of a love story) with my wife, her instant reaction was, 'who will care to watch a love story from you?' and it was heart-breaking," Rajamouli has been quoted as saying by Cinema Express.

This is when the 'Baahubali' maker dropped the idea and then latched on to telling a fictional tale of two real-life heroes, namely Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitaramaraju.

Rajamouli's initial plan was to make a film sans visual effects and huge action blocks. After working on the 'Baahubali' franchise for five years, he was apparently too exhausted to mount another big-stakes film. But the plan was eventually shelved off in favour of a high-octane actioner.
