It's known that Rajamouli is an admirer of Sukumar and Trivikram. He is a fan of that scene in 'Jagadam' where Ram Pothineni is the first man standing in front of the villains when everybody else slides backwards out of fear.
Years ago, Rajamouli said that the two directors had a vast potential if they make mass movies. "Two directors whose style I find it impossible to catch up with, two directors who will be really threatening to me if they make a mass movie with full focus - the directors are Trivikram Srinivas garu and Sukumar. I see such stuff and range in them," Rajamouli once said, possibly after 'Magadheera' and before 'Eega'.
This has happened with 'Rangasthalam' and 'Aravindha Sametha', both released this year. However, since he made those remarks, Rajamouli has reached the greatest heights with the 'Baahubali movies.
