Rajamouli on Prabhas, south stars, Bollywood favourites & more

On Sunday, Rajamouli was on 'Koffee With Karan' show in company with Prabhas and Rana Daggubati. Here are some excerpts from the talk show.

"Prabhas is a shy guy. He is a major introvert who gets uncomfortable whenever he is with more than three people. However, he is quite friendly and casual with friends," Rajamouli said as a reply to one of the questions on the 'Saaho' actor.

"It's Rana who I think will get married first. Prabhas is too lazy to suffer the trouble of finding a girl and getting married. On the other hand, Rana is more organized," the ace director remarked with all the possible frankness.

In July 2015, when 'Baahubali: The Beginning' released, tension ran high. "The Hindi and Tamil audiences warmed up to 'Baahubali' right away. However, the Telugu audience were not instantly receptive. With the Telugu version, we were unsure whether it was a hit. There was confusion for a few days after the film's release," the director said, repeating what he had said in a couple of interviews in the past.

Rajamouli has tweeted about a lot of flop movies in the past. Do you think he was always sincere in praising them? He was not! "I have said good things about some movies even though I didn't like them personally," the celebrated filmmaker confessed.

The 'Baahubali' director said that superstars in South India have a better understanding of what the audience expects, while those in Bollywood are not as good.

He also revealed that Rajkumar Hirani and Anurag Kashyap are his favourite filmmakers in the Hindi film industry. Among the actors, Ranbir Kapoor is his most favourite among the current lot.
