Soon after MS Dhoni on Saturday announced his retirement, millions of fans took to social media across the country to pay him rich tributes. Some Tollywood celebrities, too, are among them.
Ace director SS Rajamouli, who happened to release the trailer of Bollywood's biopic on Dhoni in 2016, tweeted, "You entertained us! You made us proud! More than that, by staying calm in nerve-racking moments, you inspired us! This is a moment that is very hard to take...You will be a torchbearer for generations to come...@msdhoni Sir, Thank You." The 'RRR' director recently recovered from Covid-19.
Superstar Mahesh Babu tweeted about that memorable match-winning sixer from the 2011 World Cup finals "How can I ever forget the iconic sixer!! World cup champions 2011 India!! Was in the stands at Wankhede, proud and tears rolling down... Cricket will never be the same... Take a bow," the 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' actor tweeted.
'Narappa' actor Venkatesh thanked Dhoni for all the memories. "We will surely miss you on the field," Venky, a fan of cricket, added.
You entertained us!
