Matt Groening, originator of popular American TV show 'The Simpsons', is coming up with new animated series titled 'Disenchantment'. Guess what, the acclaimed creator is admittedly inspired by none other than SS Rajamouli in creating his latest work.
In an interview, Matt has specifically mentioned the influence of the magnum opus 'Magadheera' and other Rajamouli movies on him. "In a given show there might be homages to Buster Keaton and to an Indian filmmaker named SS Rajamouli, who has made some of my favorite films of the last decade. I particularly recommend a movie called Magadheera," Matt, who is a cartoonist, writer, producer, animator, and voice actor, has been quoted as saying. That's the power of Rajamouli!
A happy Rajamouli today said, "I am quite elated that you know and like my films, Sir. Wishing you get all the Success again with Disenchantment."
