We are in for a movie on the Ayodhya saga. Centuries ago, Islamist invader Babar built Babri Masjid in Ayodhya on a site that Hindus believe is the birthplace of Lord Rama. Now that the centuries-old dispute, which saw Hindus fighting in the court of law for reclamation, has come to an end, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has decided to produce a movie based on the saga.
Titled 'Aparajitha Ayodhya', it will be the story of a central character who gets transformed from being an atheist to a believer even as the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi dispute unfolds over decades.
The exciting part is that K Vijayendra Prasad, Rajamouli's father and senior writer of such milestone movies as 'Baahubali', will be penning the script of this movie. Its release date is yet to be announced. The Vijayendra-Kangana duo had teamed up for 'Manikarnika' previously.
