If Krish Jagarlamudi directed 'Manikarnika', it's solely because of Vijayendra Prasad, the father of Rajamouli. When Prasad had to write the film's script, he told the producers that he will write it only on the condition that Krish is given the opportunity to direct the film.
Krish did his best, spending 110 days on the movie. However, if Kangana Ranaut is to be believed, the 'NTR' director failed to pass the grade. Kangana reshot battle sequences and about Rs 20 Cr was spent on the reshot scenes.
This shot up the budget by a huge margin.
The film has netted Rs 50 Cr in India so far. It has to be seen how far the venture will become profitable. Profit or loss, Prasad's condition seems to have resulted in Krish losing his credibility in Bollywood to an extent.
