The pre-release event of 'AWE' was held on Wednesday evening, in Hyderabad. Besides the film's main cast and crew members, SS Rajamouli and Anushka Shetty graced it as chief guests.

Director Prasanth Varma said, "I thank my entire team who have done a fantastic job. Rajamouli garu has graced this occasion and I thank him for that. I haven't said the whole story to even my actors! They will be awed at the end. The idea was to make it as a small film. But thanks to Nani garu, it became so big. Many frightened me that Nani garu will interfere too much in the making of the film. But he never suggested even one single change. He was never involved in a destructive way. All his suggestions went into bettering the movie. The budget has actually over-shot a lot. I have stopped asking him about it! This is a sincere and honest film more than a different film. I tried to make an original film. Kajal garu had goosebumps after listening to the story. I got some crazy responses from actors like her."

Eesha Rebba said, "You have to wait till Feb 16 to watch what is in store. This is a new story. This is a multi-genre story. When Prasanth told me the story, I was really exciting. As an actor, it was very satisfying."

Srinivas Avasarala said, "The audience will be stunned at the end. This film is going to make you say 'awe' after watching the movie. A film is a director's medium. Prasanth will walk away with 'awe'. Nani is a wonderful friend of mine. I value him more as a friend than an actor. As a friend, I went an extra mile for him, so has he."

Regina Cassandra said, "When Prasanth narrated the script, I was intent on donning only this particular character. I could visualize the character's look right from the beginning."

Nithya Menen said, "It has science-fiction, horror, romance, thriller, action, emotions, and everything. Prasanth is a brave director. I had heard stories of his even before this film happened. I and Nani were like Tom n Jerry during the 'Ala Modalaindi' days. We would have playful fights during those days."

Kajal Aggarwal said, "This is a new story. This is the first time that I have tried something like this. This film is not only entertaining but also has a message. Prasanth has worked extremely hard on the film. I met him when he was scripting for this film. I loved his thought-process. He focuses on every tiny nuance of each character."

Nani said, "This is a proper crazy film. This film will satisfy the hint of madness in us all. Producing a film is not an easy job at all. I have now started respecting all the producers even more. Prasanth Varma's idea is very novel. I decided to produce this film because I felt that this story needed the backing of a good producer. I suddenly decided to produce it on the sets of 'Ninnu Kori'. 'Awe' is the first letter in Telugu. And this is the first film for me and Prasanth. I have made all my monies through cinema. And I am ready to put all my monies on cinema. With one film after another becoming a hit, nervousness only grows. When I close my eyes during those nervous moments, Rajamouli garu comes to my mind. What is my success in front of his? I tell this to myself."

He further said, "Nithya has always been close to me. Her character in 'AWE' is a surprising element. Only she could have done the film. All the scenes between me and Ravi Teja garu are with Priyadarshi. Regina has undergone a change in her look exclusively for this film. It's not easy for an actress to do it when she is busy with other films also. We gave the role to Esha as we felt that only she can do it, having watched 'Ami Thumi'. Ravi Teja garu had agreed to lend his voice even before I decided to produce it. I am glad he encouraged a new concept like this. Kajal felt that only she should do this role. She was ready to adjust her dates come what may. Devadarshini garu's role is another surprise element. When I saw Srini's (Avasarala) get-up, I laughed. Rohini garu is my favourite onscreen mother. Since 'Ala Modalaindi', many have felt that she looks like my mother. Murali Sharma garu was ready to do this movie even if I didn't pay him remuneration."

About the director, Nani said that he has done it like an experienced director. "I don't know the film's result. I am very proud of having produced this movie. I decided to release this movie myself as I felt there are no commercial elements. Karthik's cinematography is so cool right from the first frame."

Anushka said, "I wish Nani and Prashanthi Tipirneni all the best. It's like our family production. The whole cast and crew have created great interest. I am going to watch it FDFS."

SS Rajamouli said, "We watch a trailer not to appreciate the exteriors. The purpose of a trailer is to make the audience want to watch the film. After watching the trailer of 'AWE', I want to watch it as soon as possible. It will be a super-hit film for sure. I have lost the count of the number of hits that Nani has scored. I recently told him to do something more than acting. He suddenly started playing a fish! When Nani is there, people conclude that it's a super-hit film. I fell for Regina's bold look when it was released. She has dedicated herself to the role. I see Prashanti's hand all over. It's a very well-designed look. The ensemble cast of this film is very, very interesting. The career graph of the actors makes me conclude that there must be something special about the story, which is why they have done it."
