Raja Rani
Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan switched on the camera and George C Williams rolled it on track to capture the first few sequences of a song in 'Raja Rani'. Having assisted the mammoth director Shankar in helming 'Enthiran' and 'Nanban' and taking them to great heights, Atlee Kumar has now stepped aside as an independent director, and has AR Murugadoss producing his debut venture. Hitting the screens this Friday, 'Raja Rani' is releasing under the Fox Star Studios banner. About four months back, when Fox Star Studios revealed the first look teaser of the film, the 45 seconds video trended more than a million hits in a very short span. And all along, there has been news of how charming is the rapport that Arya-Nayanthara share. With the inputs of Arya calling the actress Nayan and she petting him by the name Johnny, all the focus turned on the sets of 'Raja Rani'. Soon after a dream-like wedding at a church, John (Arya) and Regina (Nayanthara) discover that something is amiss in their relationship. It is not long before they realize that it is the marriage itself which has gone wrong. Atlee revealed that this is where Surya (Jai) and Keerthana (Nazriya) enter the screen, giving the entire story a twist. In an interview, Nazriya expressed her happiness about sharing the screen with Arya as his ex love interest. The team further promises that unlike how he comes around normally, Santhanam will have a solid character in this film, beyond just comic relief, moulding the story on the whole and setting it on track. It is also heard that there are a couple of scenes where Santhanam will move us to tears with his emotional acting. Meanwhile, interactions of Sathyaraj with the media revealed that the sole reason he chose to be a part of the film, playing Regina's father on screen, is his faith in Atlee, who eased out the scene for the ace actor as well as the director in 'Nanban'. Composed by GV Prakash, the audio of 'Raja Rani' was launched last month. Though most songs are welcomed with warmth, it is 'Hey Baby' which has been a consistent favourite, since its release as a single, even before the launch of the full album. Over the months, the graph has seen steady up-trend with expectations mounting at each stage, awaiting the release of 'Raja Rani'. Now all we have to do is wait a little more, to witness a modern romantic saga. Expectation : High |
