Raja of remakes

Rajasekhar is one actor who doesn't mind taking the lonely path.
Despite being in the field for over two decades, he is almost a loner in the industry, making his kind of films and having his own 'constituency' of fans.
And he also doesn't mind talking his mind out.
The man who made a career out of remaking successful films in other languages into Telugu is upset with this 'remake Raja' tag.
He recently told an interviewer "I don't understand why scribes have a condescending attitude towards remakes.
Why are heroes squabbling for the rights if such films don't boast of a success rate? Making such a film is difficult. Performances cannot be copied and we have to do better than the original heroes."
Obviously, he is touchy on the issue. His latest movie, Nayakudu, is also a remake (of the Malayalam hit Runaway). His last film Apthudu, was a remake of Ghatak.
Rajasekhar says he doesn't failure of success. "It is the creative satisfaction that matters".
