The two power houses combine in `Raj The Showman' gives a sumptuous meal for the fans. Prem the hat trick director has taken all chances to focus the ability of the nonstop successful hero Puneeth Rajakumar. The action packed sentiment film with lovely cinematography, songs plus the acting and stunts from Puneeth Rajakumar gives a full treat for his fans. The dexterity of director Prem in giving a gripping story line that has interesting screenplay and dialogues was expected.

What is great about Puneeth Rajakumar from this film with an unconvincing hair style he has played underdog in many scenes but winning in his usual forte of stunts and acting! The glorious production values, the exotic locations selected, Dr Rajakumar clippings further enhance the attraction.

Muthu (Puneeth Rajakumar) hails from an ordinary family in a village. On his way to watch the cinema he has lost the 30 plus sheep the main resource of his father. He is shaken and no way left to run away from the house. In the city this village innocent works as extra artist in the cinema. Looking at his caliber a director proposes his name for the hero role. Dilkush in life so that he can become a hero and progress in life Muthu is in his own calculations. But the heroine who has been selected Parvathi (Nisha Kothari or Priyanka Kothari) when it comes to saying `I Love You' decline to say. The producer of the film demands only Parvathi but Parvathi backtracks. It is now up to Muthu to convince her get to the role. Muthu tries by all means but he locks himself in the two gang leaders who are opting to marry Parvathi.

Whether Muthu is successful in his mission and what trauma he faces to reach his goal is interesting part of the cinema.

Puneeth Rajakumar giving up his image in some places has worked brilliantly. In four places he touches the heart for his acting caliber. The hairstyle is a mismatch. Puneeth Rajakumar of `Milana' Akash and Arasu is what the audience wants to see. He looks very handsome in those films. Here in this film the oily face and inappropriate hairstyle is nothing but miscalculation of director Prem.

Nisha Kothari alias Priyanka Kothari is superb in songs. Acting she does not know it seems. Mamatha Rao as mother, Murali Mohan as director in the film, Muniraju, Adhi Lokesh as underworld rulers done their portions very well.

After Puneeth Rajakumar punching and pleasing performance it is music director V Harikrishna who wins the heart - the songs Hai Paru Hele Paaru. Kuch Kuch Andhidhe... And Soorya Ninna Thayi Anegu...long standing ones. S Krishna of `Mungaru Male' has done pretty good job in his camera. The smoke fight, the South Africa and Ladak locations, Melkote, Rajasthan portions the small lanes he has captured very convincingly in his camera.

This is in excess of entertainment for your ticket price.
