The biggest hype of the recent times ‘Raj The Showman’ in the combination of nonstop super hit films power star Puneeth Rajakumar (he is in his 10th film – Appu, Abhi, Veera Kannadiga, Mourya, Namma Basava, Akash, Arasu, Milana and Vamshi) and hat trick director Prem (Kariya, Excuse Me and Jogi Kannada films) has taken stupendous opening on the first day.

The first day collection from 500 shows all over Karnataka in 125 theatres where ‘Raj The Showman’ is released would cross Rs.1 crore collection. The investment of this film producer Suresh Gowdru and Srinivasamurthy is safe in just five days.

Besides this on the wee ends the film is shown 27 shows a day on Saturday and Sunday in places like United Kingdoms – Bristol. Birmingham, Crawley, Harlow, Ipswich, Liverpool. Manchester, Oxford, London, USA’s California, Florida, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Washington, Australia’s Sydney, Melbourne, UAE’s Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ajman, Canada’s Canada, Montreal, Hongkong’s AMC theatre, Malaysia’s Golden harvest cinemas, New Zealand’s Sky City Cinemas, Indonesia’s MFX Grande.

In Bangalore city ‘Raj The Showman’ is released in 31 theatres that includes Santosh, PVR, Fun Cinema, Inox, multiplex, Veeresh, Navrang, Goverdhan, Nalanda, Siddeshwara, Bharathi and others.

The tickets are sold out for one week and there are examples of five to seven shows in Karnataka from the normal four shows a day. Puneeth Rajakumar the protagonist in the film came to the Santosh theatre on Kempe Gowda Road just after the interval to watch the action scene. The director Prem his charming wife actress Rakshita, Rakshita’s mother Mamata Rao, music director Harikrishna, Cameraman S Krishna and other members of the film team came to the morning show at Santosh theatre.

In the history of Kannada cinema this type of collection is unheard according to box office pundits. Puneeth Rajakumar plays the role in the name of ‘Muthu’ that is apparently the name of his icon father Dr Rajakumar before coming to the cinema. As ‘Muthu’ he is the aspirant hero in the film and ardent fan of Dr.Rajakumar films. Nisha Kothari the sizzling beauty is the screen charmer in songs performed as Parvathi (that happens to be the real name of Puneeth Rajakumar’s mother – wife of Dr.Rajakumar – Smt.Parvathamma Rajakumar).

Puneeth as ‘Muthu’ goes behind Paru singing Hai Paru Hele Paru ‘I Love You’ antha hele Paru….shot in South Africa is the exceptional song.
