A few months back Raj Kumar Santoshi had launched 'Saamna' with much fanfare. The movie was to be produced by his 'Khakee' producer Keshu and boasted of an assemble starcast of Nana Patekar, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgan, Riteish Deshmukh, Urmila Matondkar and Mahima Chaudhary.

There was no progress on the movie's front after that and in the meanwhile 'Family' was made and released. Now RKS has dropped a bomb by announcing his multi-starrer to be shelved for an unknown period.

As per Santoshi, the reason for not doing the movie is its controversial subject that is centered on the marriage of religion and politics. Fearing backlash from different quarters, Santoshi is instead working on a comedy called 'Ladies & Gentlemen'. After this he plans to do a musical set in London called 'London Dreams' with Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan.
