Rains have caused a loss of Rs 5000 Cr, have urged for Rs 1350 CR: KCR

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday said that the State has incurred losses to the tune of Rs 5000 Cr due to the incessant rains this week. Hyderabad and a couple of towns in Telangana have seen so much destruction because of the incessant rains.

KCR urged the Modi government to release Rs 1350 Cr immediately towards rehabilitation and relief works. He said that he has penned a letter to the Prime Minister in this regard.

The Chief Minister said that paddy and cotton crops have been damaged, rendering losses to farmers.

So far, more than 30 individuals have died in the State in various incidents. Hyderabad is grappling to get back to normalcy.
