On Saturday it was announced that the star player of Chennai Super kings IPL team Suresh Raina has opted out of IPL 2020 due to personal reasons. His sudden exit from the 13th edition of the IPL shocked fans as well as the CSK management.

Raina has reached New Delhi and has quarantined himself in his residence. Earlier it was said that the outbreak of Covid-19 in the camp after two players Ruturaj Gaikwad and Deepak Chahar and 11 other members testing positive might be the reason behind his decision.

There were also speculations that the recent attack on his family members in Pathankot might be a reason. However, as per the statement of CSK's boss N Srinivasan in a recent interview, a rift between Raina and MS Dhoni on the allotment of a hotel room is the reason behind Raina's decision to quit. As per reports Suresh Raina wasn’t happy with the room he was provided in CSK’s bio-bubble, and he was finding it difficult to adjust with the bio-security measures and demanded the same room as Dhoni had been provided.
