Railways asks people to postpone travel after 12 test positive

On Saturday, 12 individuals who had recently travelled by rail have tested positive. Eight of them had travelled from Delhi to Ramagundam on AP Sampark Kranti Express on March 13. The other four had travelled on Godan Express from Mumbai to Jabalpur three days later.
In light of the new positive cases, Indian Railways has appealed to everyone to stop travelling altogether. "Railways has found some cases of Coronavirus infected passengers in trains which makes train travel risky. Avoid train travel as you may also get infected if your co-passenger has Coronavirus. Postpone all journeys and keep yourself and your loved ones safe," the Railways said.
There is a view that all trains should be cancelled for a few days. The fact is that such a complete shutdown might severely affect the poor.
