It was ascertained from Right to Information Act that the amount spent by the Karnataka government for the arrival and departure of Aishwaraya Rai to the second Vishwa Kannada Sammelana held in last year March was Rs.10 lakhs. This figure is quoted as traveling expenses for one hour presence of the nation's pride has roots from Karnataka.
