Well-known playback singer and Bigg Boss-3 title winner Rahul Sipligunj is in the news because he was assaulted by unknown individuals at a pub in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, last night.

As per two video clips doing the rounds on the Internet, Rahul lost his cool when youths (who are politically connected to a TRS MLA) allegedly passed vulgar comments at a female friend of Rahul even as the latter were minding their business. An enraged Rahul launched into a diatribe against the harasser, who got aggressive and belligerently bashed up the singer with beer bottles.

Although the onlookers and friends on both sides tried to stop the duo, it was of no help. The pub management called up the police, who rushed to the spot and intervened for good.

Rahul later went to a nearby hospital and got treated for the blood injuries. After getting a first-aid done, Rahul went back to the pub to see to it that the CCTV footage is not destroyed.
