The film industry is in shock as 'Bigg Boss' season one winner and nineties romantic hero Rahul Roy has been admitted in ICU following a brain stroke. It is said that the 52-year-old star was in Kargil shooting for a new movie 'LAC: Live the Battle' when the extremely cold weather made him sick and his condition deteriorated in a short time leading to the stroke.
Rahul was reportedly airlifted from Kargil to Srinagar for initial treatment and then again to Mumbai where he is being treated at the Nanavati Hospital. His relatives have stated that he is slowly recovering.
Rahul Roy became a national sensation on debut in Mahesh Bhatt's 'Aashiqui' released in 1990 in which Anu Agarwal also debuted as the female lead. After several other films he participated in 'Bigg Boss' season one hosted by Salman Khan in 2007 which he won in spite of stiff competition from other celebrities.
