We all know that the Vidya Balan, Emraan Hashmi and Rajkumar Rao starrer Hamari Adhuri Kahani` has gained tax free status in U.P. Here is the story behind the movie's tax free glory in U.P.

Recently Vidya Balan and director Mahesh Bhatt were in Lucknow courtesy Rahul Mittra - The Head honcho of Waves Cinemas.

Rahul Mittra was the first filmmaker to get a subsidy from UP for his film Bullett Raja & is known to share close proximity with the government there. Sources further revealed that Rahul Mittra had earlier flown Bhatt & actor Emraan Hashmi to meet up with Akhikesh Yadav few days ago requesting for exemption of film Hamari Adhuri Kahani from entertainment tax as the movie talks about gender equality, following which the three flew to support this initiative of the government. Their visit to the women power line headquarters was followed by a special screening for the women staff at Waves Cinema in Lucknow.

'Hamari Adhuri Kahani' is helmed by Mohit Suri and is produced by Vishesh Films and Fox Star Studios has done the marketing and distribution.
